Nigerian gospel singer Kunle Kenny has generated conversation on social media after sharing his personal views on family planning and contraception.
In a post published on X (formerly Twitter), the singer explained that he prefers not to have his wife rely on hormonal birth control methods because of concerns about their possible side effects.
Singer Explains His Perspective
According to Kunle Kenny, decisions about when to have children should be made jointly by both spouses. He emphasized that he and his wife intend to grow their family only when they both agree the timing is right.
The singer also shared that, after they have the number of children they desire, he plans to undergo a vasectomy as a long-term family planning option.
“I’ll Take Responsibility”
Explaining his decision, Kunle Kenny said he believes it is important for him to share responsibility for family planning rather than placing the burden solely on his wife.
In his post, he wrote:
“Nobody is putting any birth control thing inside my wife’s body. No extraneous chemicals or pills. We will only have kids when we BOTH unanimously agree, as God allows in His mercy.”
He continued:
“And when we’re done, I’m getting a vasectomy. A woman’s body is too sensitive for these chemicals. The side effects are crazy!”
Online Reactions
The post quickly attracted attention on social media, with users expressing a variety of opinions. While some praised the singer for discussing shared responsibility in family planning, others offered different perspectives on contraceptive choices and reproductive health.
The discussion continues to generate engagement online, reflecting the range of views people hold on family planning and personal healthcare decisions.
