Nigerian gospel singer Judikay has shared a personal testimony about the challenges she experienced during her pregnancy before the birth of her daughter.
Speaking during a church service in a video that has been shared on social media, the singer recalled travelling to Canada when she was 34 weeks pregnant in preparation for childbirth. She said she attended a routine prenatal scan, where medical professionals expressed concerns about the baby’s condition.
According to Judikay, the healthcare team asked her to change positions several times during the examination, which made her realize they were carefully assessing the baby’s wellbeing.

Judikay further stated that she was later told her unborn child might require additional medical assessments after doctors reportedly observed features they believed needed further evaluation.
She said she discussed the situation with her husband, who encouraged her to remain calm, trust God, and continue believing for a positive outcome. According to the singer, they spent time praying and expressing gratitude while awaiting the birth of their child.
“My husband said, ‘You will not go for any test. Tear that slip.’ So I tore the slip, and we entered hours of thanksgiving every day. We kept declaring that we had received an excellent and perfect child,” she recalled.
Delivery Experience
The gospel singer also spoke about her delivery, describing it as a difficult labour despite reaching full dilation. She said the baby was eventually delivered safely after several challenges during childbirth.
Judikay revealed that medical personnel later informed her that the umbilical cord had been wrapped around the baby’s neck during delivery, a situation she believes contributed to the complications she experienced.
Despite the difficulties, both mother and child came through the delivery safely. The singer expressed gratitude to God for what she described as a remarkable outcome and used the testimony to encourage others to remain hopeful during challenging moments.
