Pastor Chukwudi David Ogbueli is a Nigerian minister, author and teacher, and the General Overseer of Dominion City Church, a fast-growing Pentecostal ministry based in Abuja. He is known as a charismatic faith preacher with a focus on healing, leadership development and national transformation.
Early Life and Family
He was born on April 28, 1968, in Alor, in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State, to Mr. Justin Ogbueli and Mrs. Felicia Ogbueli.
Education
He attended Umuoshi Primary School in Alor and later Boys Secondary School, Oraifite (formerly Oraifite Boys Grammar School). He then studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science.

Call to Ministry
By his own account, he began Christian ministry at age 12. In 1991, while an undergraduate at UNN, he started a campus fellowship called The New Covenant Family. It later spread to other tertiary institutions, mostly in Southern Nigeria, and became the foundation of his church.
Founding of Dominion City Church
Dominion City began in 1995 as a small house fellowship at No. 2 Marcus Garvey Street, Enugu, with a vision to raise leaders who transform society. The group started with a handful of nurses, who were friends of Mummy Onyegbule, and their children. She has remained the ministry’s leading intercessor and matriarch, and she marked her 85th birthday on March 20, 2022.
Over the years the church moved to larger premises, including a base on Chime Avenue in Enugu, and expanded across Nigeria, with branches in cities such as Enugu, Lagos and Abuja. It has also opened branches in Accra, Kampala and Johannesburg, and has a presence in Asia, Europe and the Americas.
Media, Leadership and Outreach
- Media: He hosts the TV and radio program Expand Your World, broadcast on stations across Nigeria.
- Golden Heart Foundation: He is president of this non-governmental organization, which focuses on value reorientation, leadership education, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship. It runs the annual National Youth Summit with the Institute for National Transformation (INT).
- Dominion Leadership Institute: He serves as its president. The institute trains Christians to excel in their chosen fields.
- Church Growth and Explosion Summit: He hosts this gathering, an offshoot of the national convention of the Global Mission Network.
- Annual Camp Meeting: He hosts Dominion City’s three-day retreat over the Easter weekend, which draws delegates from several continents.
- Speaking: He is also a regular facilitator at INT and speaks at organizations, government gatherings, embassies and churches.
Global Mission Network and Charity
The church’s mission arm, the Global Mission Network, is known for its charity work among the less privileged. In 2015, the Enugu headquarters ran a free medical outreach in Akpuoga Nike, Emene, in Enugu East, in partnership with Abiding Fruits Maternity and Clinic. Dozens of residents were treated.

Marriage and Family
He married Pastor Sarah Ogbueli in 1996. They met as students at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. They have four children: two sons and two daughters.
